Black Forest Cake

This cake is made for my mom who has just turned 63 this year. She was born in the year of DOG and she is still going strong and active as she is. She's a smoker and likes to do gardening. Her wish for this year is to touch MEGA lottery and she has promised to give each one of us some money or buy me a house if...she strike lottery number. I hope her wish comes true! She likes shopping and she likes buying dresses for her grandchildren too. Every grandparents are like that, pampering the kids!!
I wish her good health and always happy.

A gift for Steffi's friend Azlina who is staying in Tropicana Golf Club. She is kind enough to teach Steffi Bahasa Melayu and Accounts subject in preparation for her SPM.

Mini Wedding Cake Competition for our (MCDC) Malaysian Cake Decorator 1st Anniversary gathering was held on the 4 July 2009. Many participated in the competition and only top 10 got the prices. The rules is that the cake must be in 3" wide. Anybody can participate in any number of entry but must be a member.
So, I participated for 2 cakes in 1 entry. My theme was western wedding cake and traditional chinese wedding cake. It was voted by all the members and I managed to gained 15 votes only. I didn't get the price but at least I did my best and enjoyed while doing it. My masterpiece is No.1 and No.2. What do you think? Not bad ya?
All top 10 winners were requested to bring their masterpiece but only few winners didn't turn up but their cake photos were displayed on the table. We did have this exchanged gifts at the party and of course food cathered by them and Q & A on cake matters. Next gathering will be at 6th of September. Looking forward to it.

So Ee thong Sui (Glutinuous rice ball dessert)

It is famous among the Hokkien people. The soup is made of ginger and some pandan leaves. The ball is made of glutinuous rice flour and mix with water. Boil the ginger water and throw in the coloured balls until it is floated , then it is cooked. I like it since I was a child.

2009 SMK Tropicana Carnival (27th June 2009)

Variety of cupcakes and cookies was sold by Steffi in school on that day.
Some decorated with buttercream only and some with fondant.
She even organized fish competition game and guess what ...many people participated in this game ! It was a success coz I was called to top up the fish in few minutes time. Gosh! I had to rush like mad to buy those fishes. (Too bad, pictures were not taken in school) Poor girl, she was very tired when she came back from school.
