My daughter requested for rolled pineapple tarts to take home to Penang for the Chinese New Year celebration. I was a a bit reluctant cos of the last minute packing I need to do and to make sure everything is in order especially my dog and hamster. Of course I need to thank my sis Angie for being their foster parent.
Wow, It's been a long time since I take this vacation back . It's nice to get out of PJ once awhile to meet my parents and in-laws :) Lots of ang pow will be given out :(
I prefer to do the tarts myself instead of buying from outside stall as the pineapple paste are more freshier and I make sure my tarts are not too sweet. Health conscious lah! Anyway HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to everyone before I sign off.

I WISH EVERYBODY WHO VISITS MY BLOG, A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY THE YEAR 2009 BRING ALL HAPPINESS, SUCCESS & GOOD HEALTH.

My 1st cake on year 2009

Finally, the pigs arrived in my house at Kota Damansara(instead of the slaughter house) for the cake parade on Saturday! Its a birthday party for baby girl Chantelle Kong who is turning 1 this weekend.
Those who born on Pig year are very intelligent and ambitious. Their honesty and warmth enables them to form a long lasting and firm friendship. My daughter Sophia, is also born on that year. She is born on January before the Chinese New Year. Thou she always insist that she is born on Rat year as she doesn't like to be fall on Pig year.
The cake is made of vanilla and chocolate butter flavour and covered with fondant. The pigs and flowers are all sugarpaste.
I wish Chantelle Kong a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY and may she grow beautifully and healthy girl.

Also, to make this cake a success, I would like to thank my sis Angie for the whole day of helping me at her place to bake this cake.
